Health Centres and Medical Practices across the UK are dealing with an increase in enquiries due to Coronavirus.

The increased workload during this rapidly evolving situation puts increased pressure on the services and staff members.

We are working very hard to ensure we offer up to date advice.

If you are experiencing a high temperature, new continuous cough, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, even if these symptoms are mild, please self isolate and obtain further guidance.  Please do not come in to the Practice.

Advice is available via the NHS Inform website www.nhsinform.scot  where you will also find information on testing.  Alternatively, you can call NHS24 on 111 for advice and assessment.

The Practice appointment system has changed.  All telephone calls to the Practice are triaged by a Clinician.  If a consultation is required this will be arranged.  You should not attend for an appointment if you have any symptoms of Coronavirus.
Please can you attend the Practice alone unless you are bringing a child or require assistance.
We request that all patients attending the Practice for appointments wear a face covering.  Where this is not available, the Practice will provide a face mask on entry to the Practice.

Notice: If you require a self isolation certificate for your employer please follow the link below.

Welcome to Kersiebank Medical Practice

Kersiebank Medical Practice offers a patient-centred approach to healthcare. We have a large multidisciplinary team in-house, with a number of different specialist groups offering treatment to our patients.

Our General Practitioners are doctors that are trained in all aspects of general medicine. Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) are highly experienced nurses that see and treat patients with a range of ailments, from UTIs to chest infections. Our Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APPs) are specialist physiotherapists who see and treat adults who have problems with their joints or muscles. Our Primary Care Mental Health Nurses help our patients manage mild to moderate mental health conditions. Our Practice Nurses run clinics for some chronic health conditions, provide advice and perform a number of routine procedures.

Kersiebank Medical Practice also has direct input from a team of prescribing pharmacists and support from our healthcare assistants.

Our reception and administration team are trained to signpost patients to the specialist best placed to provide the support they need. We also operate a triage system for urgent appointments, you will be placed in a queue and your symptoms will be assessed over the phone by one of our ANPs or GPs.

We also welcome any useful feedback or suggestions for ways in which we can improve the both the website and our practices services, so please get in touch. Alternatively, you can get involved in our patient participation group by getting in touch with our practice manager.
